Cross City Airport
The Cross City Airport has two asphalt runways, 13-31 (5,001 ft.) which was reconstructed in 2015 and 4-42 (5,005 ft.). In August 1942, the facility was requisitioned by the United States Army Air Forces as a World War II military airfield, and was named Cross City Army Airfield. After the war, the airfield was returned to civil control. Dixie Aviation maintains the Airport terminal, providing fuel and exceptional service. Are you stopping by the Airport, needing to make a trip to town? Dixie Aviation provides a car (free of charge) for you to make trips to town, even trips to visit the coastal communities!
New to the Cross City Airport!
As of October 2016, the County has obtained funding from FAA and constructed 8 quintessential t-hangars, and 2 box hangars which are available for lease. The new Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) has been installed.
